The article by By Pip Courtney (http://www.abc.net.au/profiles/content/s1889141.htm?site=news) for Landline is banging the drum for a liquid energy solution that I have been pushing and investing in for a long time...

Most Australian's don't realise that we are going to be spending a lot more money on petrol and diesel quite soon. The billions of dollars spent will go off-shore and that seems to be really dumb when we have a viable, clean, cost effective solution that has been developed here in Australia as a world first.

If Australia were to utilise this breakthrough we could be the Pacific's Saudi Arabia with literally trillions of barrels of oil and equivalents produced for around $28 - 30 per barrel....

Moreover the fuel is much cleaner and has far less particulates that contribute to both global warming and illnesses such as cancer and asthma and uses a resource that is currently stranded, in a very green way, in very under-populated and arid regions of Australia.

In every way UCG-GTL is a superior solution to CSM extraction and deep sea drilling but to date Australia's various Governments have chosen to either ignore or block its development.... (Queensland in particular has been both obstructive and destructive.)

Below is the start of Pip's story. (http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2011/04/08/3186535.htm?section=business)..Australia urged to develop 'fuel of the future' (http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2011/04/08/3186535.htm?section=business)

I urge you to read the full article and then visit UCG-GTL.com (http://www.ucg-gtl.com/) to get an over-view of the technology and an investment framework... your future does depend on it!

One of Australia's richest men claims the technology exists to dramatically reduce the country's vulnerability to international oil price shocks and even become an exporter of transport fuel.

Mining magnate Peter Bond says Australia could be self-sufficient in diesel and jet fuel if state and federal governments permit the commercialisation of underground coal gasification (UCG). (http://www.ucg-gtl.com)

"We can be the Wal-Mart of energy. This could actually put peak oil for this country off for two generations," he said.

"It's definitely one of the fuels of the future."
