If all Australian states were to shift to permanent daylight saving with the clock shifted forwards by an hour in winter and in summer two hours from Brisbane down imagine how worried our electricity retailers would be.

Here in Qld. we have it pretty well backwards as we go to work in the light and come home to a darkening night. But my solar panels are still producing heaps of electrons at 4pm in the summer and a 2 hour daylight saving shift would shift the green line (above) to the left and that would be a wonderful green initiative, costing a fraction of many other Co2 reduction initiatives.

It makes me wonder if that is one of the reasons it (daylight saving) hasn't been allowed here in Qld.?
