AUSTRALIA is set to host the 2015 World Geothermal Congress after successfully bidding for the international geothermal industry’s premier event.
The Australian Geothermal Energy Association said the successful joint bid between Australia and New Zealand would see thousands of delegates from all over the world descend on Melbourne for the event.

“This is a huge coup for the geothermal industry in both Australia and New Zealand and follows intensive lobbying by both countries since last December,” AGEA chairman Terry Kallis said.
