W2 Energy begins construction of NT Plasmatron

8/17/2009 5:10:16 PM GMT
ORONTO, CANADA: Green energy developer W2 Energy (PINKSHEETS: WTWO) has begun construction of its first commercial scale Non-Thermal (NT) Plasmatron.

The NT Plasmatron will be used to generate syngas from the algae grown in the company's algae bioreactor plant. The first NT Plasmatron is expected to have a capacity to gasify 500 KG of algae per day. The gas generated will be burned in the company's combustion rotary engine, which will be coupled to an electrical generator.

W2 Energy's NT Plasmatron is a non-thermal plasma reactor capable of being joined together to fit large scale needs as well as standing alone for small scale applications.
