Default Vanadium to rise in 2013 - Prof Alan Trench

I note that Professor Alan Trench's list of commodities on the rise in 2013 mentions vanadium in second place. I looked at this in some depth several months ago.

The two images below seem to give a clear (perhaps startling) overview for the investor looking for a vandium play. That Australian ASX listed companies have over 25% of the world's vanadium resources (JORC) indicates that if Trench is correct then we will see some fireworks in some of our companies starting soon.

N.B. Ni Plats is now named Speewah Metals ltd ASX:SPM

List of the 17 ASX companies with vanadium JORC resources with links to summaries

Alan Trench: Professor of mineral and energy economics at Curtin University’s Graduate School of Business and a research professor at the University of Western Australia’s Centre for Exploration Targeting.

It is wonderful to have an excellent professor. I had a couple plus the advantage of attending a new university that was forward looking........
