Waste coal to hydrogen

It discusses the hazards of storing waste coal and the benefits of converting it to hydrogen. Researchers at Lehigh University are developing a method to convert waste coal to hydrogen using gasification. This process is being funded by the Department of Energy. The researchers believe that this method could be used to produce hydrogen fuel on a commercial scale.
