Galaxy exports third spodumene shipment

GALAXY Resources has completed its third shipment of spodumene to China. Signe Bulker, a 170m bulk carrier, carried around 31,000 tonnes of the mineral from Bunbury Port in Western Australia to Jiangsu, China. Galaxy said the shipment is "important feedstock" for its new lithium carbonate plant in the Yangtze River International Chemical Industrial Park in the Jiangsu Province of China.

Plus: Galaxy Resources says its planning to be the first WA lithium miner to
produce and market the mineral Mica. The mineral is used in the electrical,
cosmetics and plastics industries. Galaxy plans to mine Mica as a by product
at its Mt Cattlin lithium operation. A trial shipment has been exported from
Freemantle Port to an overseas minerals company.
