Default Hydrogen Planes: Taking Off for Cleaner Skies

Imagine airplanes that run on clean fuel, like water, but with a fiery kick! That's the future Universal Hydrogen is working on, and they're already testing it out.

The Problem: Making airplanes cleaner is tough. Regular batteries aren't strong enough to fly far, and jet fuel is bad for the environment.

Enter Hydrogen: This element is super light and packs a lot of energy, making it a great alternative. But storing it is tricky.

Gaseous Hydrogen: This is like air, but lighter. Universal's first plane, "Lightning McClean," uses this, but it only lets them fly short distances.

Liquid Hydrogen: This is super cold, like -253°C! It holds way more energy, but it's new tech.

Universal's Innovation: They built giant, swappable tanks filled with liquid hydrogen. These can be loaded onto planes like regular cargo, and they'll almost double the flying range.

Testing, Testing: They ran a test on the ground and it worked perfectly! This is a huge step towards cleaner flying.

The Future: Universal is aiming to have these planes ready for passengers by 2026! Other companies are also working on even better ways to store hydrogen.

The Takeaway: This new technology could drastically reduce airplane pollution, making the air cleaner for everyone.
