Nice story in today's Petroleumnews.net about CTP

"Central begins Pedirka drilling"

As I have peviously posted: In essence CTP has found above 1 trillion tons of UCG suitable coal in the Perdika Basin and are now starting a $32m drilling program to asses the potential for CSM in EP 39 and EP 107. CTP are targeting net coal seams more than 400m thick.

The CBM 93004 well will be drilled to a total depth of 1020m. This very deep hole is interesting in the light of recent UCG programs at depths greater than 800m being trialled recently with a couple of ultra-deep projects in the USA of several kilometers.

AS you can see from the image below CTP have a lot of ground to cover and probably have very large resources of Oil, Helium, CSM, Natural Gas, and enormous potential for a UCG-GTL program.

I hold CTP and IMO (unqualified opinion) are probably one of Australia's giant, relatively undiscovered, ASX neglected, future elephants.

If CTP were to form a JV with one of Australia's more established UCG or UCG_GTL companies such as CNX or LNC then Australia can become both energy independent and a huge exporter of liquids and gas that goes well beyond the NW Shelf.
