Default Galaxy to produce 99.99% grade Lithium

Galaxy Resources ASX GXY have upgraded their Jiangshu processing plant to enable them to produce the world's purest Lithium Carbonate for use in Electric Vehicle batteries.

The plant upgrade will allow them to produce 17,000 tons per annum of EV (99.9%) grade Lithium Carbonate plus a small amount of 99.99%.

The current battery grade for Lithium Carbonate is 99.5%

One of the report's highlights is the finding that Hard Rock derived Lithium Carbonate performs better than Lithium Brine derived Lithium carbonate and this in my opinion gives GXY quite an edge.
